Job description, responsibilities and duties
Join our Cogniware team as a Solution Engineer with focus on Platform & Application Delivery. Work on exciting projects for law enforcement and counter-terrorism, making the world a safer place. What You'll Do

• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Argos-based applications in customer and internal environments.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, deployment scripts, application configuration, logs, and service restarts.
• Support releases, environment preparation, installation steps, and technical deployment documentation.
• Investigate problems across backend services, frontend applications, APIs, databases, search, data imports, and infrastructure.
• Implement or adjust backend services in Java when project delivery requires it.
• Support Angular/frontend changes or configuration when needed.
• Work with REST APIs, JSON/XML configuration, application properties, certificates, VPN/connectivity constraints, and customer-specific environments.
• Cooperate with architects, developers, analysts, infrastructure teams, and customer technical teams.
• Support testing and UAT by identifying technical blockers, reproducing issues, and validating fixes.
• Communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.

These skills are a plus:

• Experience with enterprise application deployment and troubleshooting.
• Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, networking basics, logs, and configuration management.
• Java backend development experience and ability to read/debug application code.
• Familiarity with Angular or frontend delivery is welcome, but not mandatory.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Kafka, NiFi, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, authentication, certificates, and environment configuration.
• Ability to create clear technical documentation and repeatable deployment steps.
• Ability to troubleshoot under delivery pressure and communicate clearly with the team.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for installations, deployments, workshops, and critical project phases.
• Experience from government, security, investigation, or enterprise integration projects is welcome.
