We are growing, taking on new international projects, and expanding our Procurement team. We are looking for an experienced Strategic Buyer to become our first dedicated strategic procurement specialist, complementing our well-established technical procurement function.

This is a unique opportunity to build and shape strategic procurement at Bagira. We are looking for a proactive, commercially driven professional with a strong sense of ownership and excellent negotiation skills. In this role, you will lead the strategic and operational procurement of components and materials for our advanced simulation systems. You will play a key role in strategic sourcing, supplier management, commercial negotiations, cost optimization, and ensuring a reliable supply chain for our Production and R&D teams.

Your mission

• Lead strategic and operational procurement of components and materials for production
• Develop sourcing strategies and optimize the supplier portfolio
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts, and delivery conditions
• Ensure timely supply of purchased components to support production and development
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and delivery performance
• Work closely with Engineering, Production, Planning, Quality, and Finance
• Evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks
• Support new product introduction by sourcing suitable suppliers and components

What we're looking for

Must have

• Previous experience in strategic procurement within a manufacturing environment
• Experience purchasing mechanical, electrical, or electronic components
• University degree
• Strong commercial and financial understanding
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Strong analytical thinking and decision-making abilities
• Advanced English for communication with international suppliers
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Ability to work on-site in our Brno office

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar)
• Experience working with international suppliers
• Technical background or understanding of manufacturing processes
