As a HSE SPECIALIST (M/F/D) you will drive excellence in Health, Safety, and Environmental standards at our Tlumačov plant. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will lead safety initiatives, implement risk prevention strategies, and ensure compliance with international standards such as ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001. You will play a key role in shaping a strong safety culture, while also training and mentoring employees to ensure best practices across all operations..
LOCATION: Tlumačov, Czech Republic (on-site)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and develop a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the plant.
- Ensure and maintain compliance with HSE regulations, company policies, and international safety standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
- Identify and assess workplace hazards, proposing and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
- Investigate and evaluate accidents, ensuring effective resolution and future risk mitigation.
- Organize and conduct safety training sessions, fire protection programs, and security events for employees.
- Oversee internal audits and security reviews, coordinating corrective actions as needed.
- Manage and maintain occupational health and safety documentation and workplace categorization in cooperation with public health authorities.
- Supervise waste management processes, ensuring proper record-keeping and regulatory compliance.
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement in safety practices.
- Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment across the site.
- Represent the company at professional events, presentations, and external audits.
SKILLSET & EXPERIENCE:
- Secondary school diploma or higher in a relevant field.
- 3+ years in an HSE role, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Experience in leading teams and implementing safety programs.
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations, risk assessment, and ISO certifications.
- Hands-on experience with incident investigation, preventive measures, and workplace safety audits.
- Ability to train and mentor employees on safety and environmental best practices.
- Proficiency in English and Czech languages.
