The Global Helpdesk (GHD) Graduate program is a unique learning opportunity to combine part-time work and studies in your final year of university. As part of the program, you will join a dynamic and diverse team where your voice will matter. With the help of a dedicated buddy and through various connectivity and learning sessions, you will have an opportunity to form productive relationships with colleagues as you problem solve their technological and logistical challenges.
Through the course of the graduate program, you will learn to provide technical support to an internal audience in a varied IT environment, ensuring outstanding customer journey experience and contributing to continuously improving our IT Support services.
In this role, you will help firm members get their business technology up and running as quickly as possible. You will provide premium IT support to colleagues and resolve complex technical problems with timely and effective solutions by leveraging our email and chat channels. You will troubleshoot issues with Mac and Windows OS, standard IT applications (e.g., Office 365), network connectivity, mobile technologies, hardware issues related to laptops and mobile phones, and more.
As part of this experience, you will collaborate with other internal IT service and product teams on a daily basis and continuously contribute to the creation and improvement of knowledge as issues/solutions arise. You will have exposure to our technical labs and help product teams test the newest releases in technology and hardware.

Team
You will join our Prague office as part of our One Global Helpdesk (OneGHD) team, a pivotal group within McKinsey's global IT organization. You will work with internal consultants and support staff by troubleshooting and resolving a wide variety of IT needs, predominantly via e-mail and chat.

As a GHD Intern, you will work in a global team sharing a common understanding of a "client-first" oriented work environment, ensuring colleagues can focus on delivering impact for our clients.
This opportunity requires full-time availability during the onboarding process of 4-6 weeks. After the onboarding process there is possibility to work part-time on a flexible schedule (20 hours per week).
Your Qualifications and Skills
- Current University student in penultimate or final year of studies (2026/2027/2028 Graduation Year).
- Good knowledge of Windows 11 or Apple OS (familiarity with native OS Applications and tools)
- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: VPN, Microsoft Office, Outlook and Mobile Devices (understanding the concept and basic functionality)
- Curiosity and desire to learn new skills and to extend own knowledge about new IT technologies
- Interest in IT / customer support
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills (ability to conduct research for the technical solution)
- Highly adaptable and open to work on critical or new tasks, taking them to a final resolution
- Demonstrate a collaborative style and the willingness to help others
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Distinctive customer orientation combined with a strong sense of ownership
- Strong team spirit with the ability to work in both local and virtual team setting
