Our client is an international manufacturing company specializing in the production, repair and maintenance of injection moulds and stamping tools. The company provides a wide range of toolmaking and engineering services, including machining of individual components, grinding, EDM (electrical discharge machining), tool modifications and repairs, as well as the production of components and related tooling accessories.
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager who will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the toolmaking department, production planning and coordination, team leadership, process optimization and customer communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the toolmaking department and a team of approximately 6 employees
- Take overall responsibility for production planning, deadlines and successful completion of customer orders
- Organize and coordinate individual projects and jobs throughout the production process
- Analyse 3D mould data, modification requirements and technical specifications related to injection mould repairs and modifications
- Plan and optimize manufacturing processes with a focus on productivity, quality, efficiency and cost reduction
- Coordinate the production and repair of injection moulds, stamping tools and related components
- Work with machining technologies, including CNC machining, grinding and EDM
- Communicate with customers and suppliers throughout the entire project lifecycle – from initial enquiry and quotation through technical implementation and production to final delivery
- Participate in customer visits, business negotiations and new business development
- Monitor customer requirements and market developments and identify opportunities for further business growth
- Manage orders, related administration and production documentation
- Coordinate machine servicing, maintenance and repairs to ensure smooth production
- Monitor production costs, budgets and opportunities for operational savings
- Support the development of new tools, production methods and manufacturing technologies
- Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety and operational standards
- Represent and promote the company towards customers, suppliers and business partners
What We Are Looking For:
- Secondary school or university education, preferably in a technical or mechanical engineering field
- Previous experience in production, toolmaking, mould manufacturing or a related engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of injection moulds and their repair, maintenance and modification
- Good understanding of machining technologies and CNC machines
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and 3D data
- Previous experience with team management and production coordination
- Good understanding of production planning, workflow optimization and cost management
- Customer-oriented approach and confidence in communicating with customers and suppliers
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, for communication with international customers and partners
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and make decisions
- Reliability, attention to detail and a hands-on approach
- Driving licence – Category B
