In this exciting position, you are responsible for leading the design and development activities within customer projects at our new ZKW Engineering Office in Olomouc, Czech Republic.

Your responsibilities:

• Coordination of a cross site team of design engineers in order to develop and manage single or multiple variants. Pass the relevant project infor-mation to all project design team members through to regular meetings and coordinate design reviews.

•  Definition and tracking of design engineering tasks with internal depart-ments, customers and suppliers

•  Attending customer engineering meetings and Perform styling, packaging & space studies

•  Coordinate sub systems interfaces to fulfill all mechanical requirements

•  Further detail tasks description is according to assigned role descriptions

•  Design review meeting with project team

•  Tolerance study lead

•  Budget and hour tracking of mechanical engineering discipline and propose counter measures in case of deviation

•  Define Tasks/ work packages for design engineers including target duration time for task completion

•  Support warranty returns investigation

•  Report project status in review meetings with the line organization

Qualifications:

•  Technical education from university of applied sciences or bachelor’s de-gree, technical college or similar work experiences

•  Knowledge of lighting systems in the automotive segment at ZKW is re-quired

•  High technical knowledge in product technologies

•  Mechanically & thermically knowledge based on the experience of plastic parts.

•  Simulation basics

•  Lighting engineering knowledge

•  Knowledge of manufacturing technologies in the automotive lighting seg-ment

•  Comprehensive knowledge CAD & PDM system

•  Project-Management basics

•  Technical leadership in projects

•  High knowledge of standards and engineering tools (general standards, customer standards, specifications standards, tolerance methods, etc.)

•  Intercultural competence

•  Available for Business trips
