Creating passion: your responsibilities
Roles & Responsibilities:
Cost analysis on component, module and product level
Cost estimations during the preliminary design phase
Support in determining, agreeing and setting target costs for components and assemblies
Supporting specialist departments on the cost-effectiveness of various solutions
Costing throughout the design process
Cost tracking on component, assembly, product and platform level
Monitoring of cost reduction measures
Assistance with the evaluation of prices for external quotations, upon request from the procurement department
Regular comparison of current costs (from the ERP system), cost forecasts (taking potential savings into account) and target costs for a new product against the reference costs of the predecessor product
Linking cost information at assembly/component level from the product library to cost estimates for complete cranes and crane platforms
Single point of contact for the local entity part of divisional Product Cost Management
Contributing your strengths: your qualifications
Qualification and Education Requirements:
Graduation or Post Graduation in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
Experience:
Professional experience of 6-8 years in Cost & Value Engineering
Experience in cost calculation and value engineering software like 4cost, aPriori, costdata etc.
Experience in common manufacturing processes esp. in Welding, fabrication domain preferred
Preferred Skills / Special Skills:
Familiar with CAD systems, ERP systems and MS Office
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and CAD models
Experience with bottom-up and top-down calculation tools
Strong understanding of the economic interrelationships between components, products and business success
