Tender Specialist

About the Role
Join Synektik and take ownership of public and private tender processes that support the delivery of advanced medical technologies and services to healthcare providers across the Czech and Slovak markets. As our Tender Specialist, you will coordinate compliant, timely, and competitive submissions for medical devices, instruments, consumables, and service contracts, working closely with commercial and specialist teams throughout the full tender lifecycle.

What You Will Do

• Monitor Czech and Slovak public procurement portals, identify relevant opportunities, and manage tenders from registration through submission and post-submission communication.
• Coordinate tender inputs with Sales, Regulatory, Service, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams.
• Prepare commercial proposals, declarations, compliance statements, and complete tender documentation in line with Czech, Slovak, and EU procurement requirements.
• Maintain accurate and current technical sheets, CE certificates, declarations of conformity, ISO documentation, product registrations, and service records.
• Ensure alignment with Czech and Slovak public procurement legislation, EU procurement procedures, and applicable medical device regulations.
• Coordinate pricing, service contract terms, warranties, delivery conditions, and maintenance schedules; identify commercial or contractual risks.
• Partner with Sales Managers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia to develop competitive bid strategies and communicate deadlines and requirements.
• Support hospitals and procurement offices with clear technical and administrative clarifications.
• Coordinate tenders covering preventive and corrective maintenance, SLA parameters, response times, and long-term purchase programmes.
• Maintain a structured tender archive and provide regular win/loss reporting, price benchmarking, competitor analysis, and market insights.

What You Bring

• University degree in biomedical engineering is preferred or equivalent professional qualification in healthcare, engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in tender management, public procurement, or sales support within the medical device sector in the Czech Republic.
• Good working knowledge of Czech public procurement processes and legislation.
• Professional proficiency in Czech and English, with the ability to prepare and review complex tender documentation.
• Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of deadlines, prioritise effectively, and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills, including technical specification comparison, pricing analysis, competitor benchmarking, and tender win/loss evaluation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across commercial and specialist functions.
• Nice to Have
• Experience with tender management and public procurement processes in Slovakia.
• Slovak language skills and the ability to work confidently with Slovak tender documentation.
• Experience with EU procurement procedures.
• A degree or professional background in business administration, economics, or law.
• Training or certification in public procurement, contract management, medical devices, or regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and quality standards relevant to medical devices, including ISO documentation.
