iST Jobst, founded as Jobst Technologies GmbH, has been providing unique bioanalytical sensors for medical and biotech applications since 2002. We sense what matters for those patients in need: From intensive care to next generation personalized medicine, through volume manufacture and deep-tech research. At our site in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, we are looking for an Expert/Senior Engineer in the field of biosensors and bioanalytical systems.
Your role
As a core team member, you will be responsible for the development, design and qualification of electrochemical enzymatic biosensors.
You will plan, execute, and manage development projects for our worldwide customer base in cutting-edge life science, biomedical and biotechnology applications.
Project management for internal, customer and research projects
You will develop, maintain, and continuously improve our technology and processes, as well as their technical documentation, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
Who you are
Master’s or PhD degree in micro-/nano-technology, biomedical engineering, natural sciences, or a related field
Experience in the development of biosensors, bioanalytical microsystems, electrochemical sensors and microfluidics
Experience in microfabrication, thin-film and laminate technology, wafer-scale fabrication
Experience in sensor and systems design and qualification, bioanalytical techniques and application development for the life sciences
You bring solid, hands-on lab and/or cleanroom experience.
You have a track record in project leadership.
You have an independent way of working, are striving to satisfy our customers’ needs, have a high level of enthusiasm and commitment, and are eager to quickly take on responsibility.
Proficiency in English is required.
