Join our engineering team as a Functional Safety Engineer and ensure the development of safe and compliant automotive products. You will lead and coordinate functional safety activities across projects, manage stakeholder communication, support risk analysis and safety assessments, and ensure adherence to ISO 26262 standards. By driving safety processes and continuous improvement, you will contribute to successful project execution and high-quality customer solutions

Your responsibilities:

• Act as the central point of contact for all functional safety topics within the project (internal, customer and supplier interfaces).

• Coordinate and moderate functional safety meetings and technical discussions.

• Report functional safety status, risks and escalations to the Project Manager, Program Manager and/or Project Owner.

• Prepare and review functional safety statements and technical justifications representing the ZKW position.

• Plan, coordinate and monitor functional safety activities throughout the project lifecycle.

• Assign and coordinate functional safety tasks across all involved ZKW sites and Functional Safety Engineers.

• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 processes and project-specific functional safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• Established knowledge regarding automotive relevant functional safety standards (ISO26262)

• Knowledge of safety management methods (e.g. Hazard-Analysis, FMEA, FTA, DFA)

• Advanced English skills

• Knowledge of quality management
