SAP S/4HANA Transformation Lead / Program Director
Interim or Contract Opportunity / Complex Manufacturing

We are looking for an exceptional SAP S/4HANA Transformation Lead to take end-to-end ownership of a strategic ERP transformation from Microsoft Dynamics AX to SAP S/4HANA in a complex manufacturing environment.

This is a senior delivery and leadership role—not an advisory assignment.

We need someone who has personally led large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementations and can connect manufacturing reality, solution design and disciplined program execution.

We particularly value experience in taking over complex or in-flight programs, critically reviewing existing solution designs and ensuring that SAP manufacturing processes are executable, robust and scalable.

• Location: Přerov, Czech Republic
• Working model: Primarily on-site, with partial remote-working flexibility
• Team responsibility: Leadership of the internal SAP implementation team and external implementation partner
• Reporting line: CEO, with close functional alignment to the IT Director

MISSION:

• Take overall responsibility for the SAP S/4HANA implementation, from solution validation through go-live and stabilization.

• Lead the internal implementation team and manage the external implementation partner.
• Validate the manufacturing solution design against actual production processes and operational requirements.
• Translate manufacturing needs into a scalable solution aligned with SAP standards.
• Establish and maintain a rigorous integrated project plan covering milestones, dependencies, resources, risks and key decisions.
• Drive execution across Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, IT and other business functions.
• Lead testing, data migration, business readiness, cutover and go-live activities.
• Provide clear, fact-based progress reporting directly to the CEO and the Board.
• Maintain momentum when stakeholders face competing operational priorities, limited capacity or differing views on process standardization.
• Build credibility with manufacturing leaders while constructively challenging legacy processes and assumptions.

What we require

• Proven leadership of multiple large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementations in complex manufacturing environments.
• Personal accountability for end-to-end delivery—from solution design through go-live and hypercare.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning and execution, routings, production operations, master data and shop-floor integration.
• Experience in reviewing, strengthening or redesigning SAP manufacturing solutions.
• The ability to identify and resolve gaps between solution design and operational reality.
• Excellent project and program management discipline, including detailed planning, dependency management and risk control.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and external system integrators.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills.
• The authority and resilience to challenge decisions and maintain delivery discipline.
• Professional fluency in English.
• This role requires direct delivery ownership. It is not suitable for candidates whose experience is limited to SAP support, functional consulting, individual workstream leadership or high-level transformation strategy without accountability for implementation and go-live.

Selection process

Our assessment will be detailed and evidence-based. Shortlisted candidates should be prepared to present two or three relevant SAP S/4HANA programs, including:

• Their exact role and level of accountability.
• Program scope and manufacturing complexity.
• The internal team and external implementation partner they managed.
• Critical challenges and decisions they personally resolved.
• Go-live results, stabilization outcomes and references.
