As a Business Process Analyst, you act as the key interface between business functions, users, and software development teams. You analyze business processes and requirements and translate them into clear, validated, and implementation-ready solution artifacts.

You use AI, structured prompting, orchestration, and automation as productivity tools to accelerate requirements engineering, documentation, prototyping, and testing. The goal is to bring requirements to a maturity level where software teams can focus primarily on technical review, architecture, code quality, and controlled implementation.

The role also includes application support, testing, project coordination, and product and engine-series data management.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes, user needs, business rules, and improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops and translate business needs into structured requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Use AI-assisted tools and orchestration to create and refine requirements, process descriptions, functional specifications, prototypes, and test cases.
• Validate AI-generated artifacts for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and business relevance.
• Prepare implementation-ready requirement packages for software development teams.
• Act as the interface between business stakeholders, users, and internal or external development teams.
• Coordinate functional testing, UAT, regression testing, and business acceptance.
• Provide or coordinate functional second-level application support and translate recurring issues into sustainable improvements.
• Create and maintain process, functional, user, and support documentation and conduct user training.
• Coordinate the organization, maintenance, and quality of product and engine-series data, including attributes, variants, dependencies, and business rules.
• Support product, system, and data updates and assess their impact on applications and business processes.
• Coordinate digital improvement initiatives, priorities, dependencies, risks, and delivery activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration with an IT focus, or comparable qualification.
• Experience in Business Analysis, Requirements Engineering, Business Process Management, IT Project Management, or Application Management.
• Strong ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into structured software requirements.
• Optional: Experience working with software development teams and agile or hybrid delivery methods.
• Practical experience using generative AI, prompting, and automation to support analysis, requirements, documentation, or software delivery.
• Experience with testing, application support, documentation, and user training.
• Knowledge of product, master, configuration, or engineering data management is beneficial.
• Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Very good English skills; German language skills are highly beneficial.
