Shape the digitalization of the public sector of tomorrow!

Germany is in the middle of one of the largest digital transformation efforts in Europe: modernizing public administration so that citizens and businesses can access government services online, easily and without unnecessary paperwork. As a Public Sector Consultant, you won't just watch this transformation happen – you'll actively help shape it, bringing your consulting expertise to real projects with real impact on millions of people.

You don't need to be a German public-sector insider to get started. We'll bring you up to speed on the German context – what matters most is your consulting mindset, analytical skills, and genuine interest in digital government.

Public Sector Consultant with German and English

What you'll do?

• You are part of the Consulting Unit and (co-)responsible for shaping (IT) consulting projects
• You support our public sector clients in projects implementing digitalization initiatives
• You help design strategies, organizations, and processes for federal, state, and local government authorities
• You work together with the project team to elicit client requirements and develop innovative solution strategies and concepts
• You continuously develop your skills through training and internal team knowledge sharing

What you bring?

• A completed degree, e.g. in political science, public administration, administrative informatics, law, business informatics, or a comparable international qualification – or another background that qualifies you for this field
• Business-fluent English and German language
• Initial experience in consulting or IT project management, gained in any country or sector – prior exposure to public administration or government projects (German or international) is a bonus, but not a requirement
• A good understanding of project planning and management; methodologies and tools can differ from country to country, so we'll support you in learning our approach on the job
• Enjoyment in supporting the introduction of new IT solutions from preparation through piloting and testing to a successful go-live
• Strong communication skills 
• The ability to break down complex content in an understandable way and summarize it clearly in guidelines, manuals, or documents for committee involvement
• Technical understanding of and interest in the topics that come with a system rollout – from configuration and interfaces to data migration, customizing, and functional and technical testing
• An eye for what matters after go-live: you think ahead about support, hypercare, user feedback, and the transition into stable operating structures
• Genuine curiosity about public-sector digitalization and how modern IT services are successfully introduced and embedded in public organizations – no matter which country's administration you've encountered so far
