OUR BACKEND TECH STACK

• Languages: Java 17
• Frameworks: Spring Boot 3, Hibernate
• Infrastructure: PostgreSQL, AWS/Azure, Docker, GitLab, Terraform

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Backend developer who:

• Will be responsible for the application design and building in Java and Spring Boot
• Does not hesitate to touch other parts of our software ecosystem (infrastructure or data pipelines)
• Cares about the quality — both from the code and customer perspective
• Will be able to work closely with the product team and help them to fulfill customers' needs
• Will learn and grow with us

QUALIFICATION

Essential

• Web development: Almost all of our projects are web applications
• Java: Java experience is essential - all backend services are based on Java language.
• Spring (Spring boot): Spring Web MVC is the framework used by our backend services, ETL and data processing use Spring Batch
• Hibernate: We do use the Hibernate ORM heavily
• Git: You should be able to rebase and make nice git history
• Fluent Czech and professional English are required.

Nice to have

• PostgreSQL/Snowflake: You should be able to write SELECTs to prepare data for further analysis and processing
• Docker: Our systems are heavily dockerized.
• AWS/Azure: We expect you to gradually learn at least the basics of "the cloud”, previous experience is beneficial
• Python: Simple scripts help us to acquire data and process them through our data pipelines
• Terraform: Most infrastructure changes are made through Terraform.
